Integrated Life Counselling & Therapy ("I", "me", "my practice") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why, and how it is used and protected, in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Information collected through this website

When you use the contact form on the Connect page, I collect the information you provide: your name, email address, subject, and message. This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry and is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Form submissions are received and stored via Netlify's form-handling service. Netlify's own privacy practices, as the technical processor of this data, are described at netlify.com/privacy.

Third-party services on this site

This website embeds a small number of third-party services to provide directions, media and readable type. Each may set its own cookies or collect anonymised technical data (such as your IP address) when the relevant page element loads, under that provider's own privacy policy:

• Google Maps — used on the Connect page to show the practice location
• Google Fonts — used site-wide for typography
• YouTube — used on the Hello and Live Events pages to embed video content

I do not control these providers' data practices; please refer to Google's and YouTube's own privacy policies for details.

Counselling session confidentiality

The information you share with me during counselling or therapy sessions — whether in-person, by phone, or via Zoom — is entirely separate from this website and is governed by professional confidentiality and the ethical standards of the Psychological Society of South Africa (PsySSA) and the American Psychological Association (APA), not by this website policy. Clinical records are kept securely and are never shared without your consent, except where I am legally or ethically obligated to do so (for example, where there is a risk of serious harm).

Data retention

Contact form enquiries are retained only as long as needed to respond to you and for reasonable record-keeping, after which they may be deleted. You may request earlier deletion at any time — see "Your rights" below.

Your rights

Under POPIA, you have the right to:

• Ask what personal information I hold about you
• Ask me to correct inaccurate information
• Ask me to delete information you have submitted via this website
• Object to how your information is used
